The Blue Boar Inn is located in Graham County and is a little off the beaten path. It's a quiet place where air/water pollution, crime, and traffic jams are almost unheard of. And because the Nantahala National Forest covers approximately sixty-percent of Graham County, our beauty and privacy will be preserved.
Nearby Robbinsville is not a town of shopping malls, gourmet shops, unlimited restaurants, or theaters. It is peaceful mountain country living at its finest, where genuine mountain hospitality and old fashioned values still exist. Nature provides all the stimulation and excitement you will need for a total "get a way".
Adventures include site seeing at Fontana Dam, a stroll in Joyce Kilmer Forest, or a scenic drive along the Cherohala Skyway. There is also mountain biking, hiking, nature and wildflower walks, white water rafting, canoeing, horseback riding and fly fishing. Relive the past by exploring the wealth of Native American and pioneer crafts found throughout Graham County. Water sports are especially popular on our two lakes, Santeetlah and Fontana. Several local wildwater trout streams have a national reputation.
The Inn offers canoes and kayaks for guest use, and pontoon boats for rental. Or you may launch or dock your watercraft at the Blue Boar Inn's Lake Santeetlah landing.
